Just give me Jesus and Java!

These experiences subsided for a few months but came back sporadically a few weeks after my father suddenly died on June 9, 2022. The intensity increased once I went to a Mass celebrated by our parish's new priest. When I actually met and spoke with this priest, the frequency increased. In hindsight, these occurrences ultimately resulted in my conversion back to the fullness of the faith with a renewed and profound love for the Eucharist and the Mass. 6/29/22 Dream: Having stuff done to my parent's old house in New Jersey. The yard had a new pathway and an area for a pool. I wanted to show our neighbor & their friend, but as I started to head on back my dad said, "No, Adrienne". The first- I refer to these as the "Spirits of the Lord," which is found in Isaiah 11:2-3- are intended to sanctify those who receive them. These permanent & supernatural qualities are bestowed upon all who are Baptized. They make us attentive to the voice of God and obedient to the Holy Spirit. The second, more properly called charismata, are extraordinary favors granted for the help of another, which do not sanctify by themselves and may even be separated from blessings. Suffice it to say I have contemplated as to whether or not I am in my right mind. I did not ask for this; perhaps this is all my imagination. I have prayed about it. I've tried avoiding it, but I failed. So I've decided rather than fight it, I will write it! To be honest, I don't write down everything. I do get lazy. It makes sense since we are a part of the Body of Christ and receive the Holy Spirit at Baptism. I'm not a prophet, nor do I claim to be "God's Gift" to the earth. I'm an ordinary woman - some consider me crazy - on a spiritual journey open to the Holy Spirit. Call it a sense of intuition, but I've always had a few gifts to cultivate my and others' faith. My fear of the Lord and belief that He can do everything have never wavered. I have, however, doubted my worth and His plans for my life.
